Cinematic Maxpedition: A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD
Hey, it's John McClane (Bruce Willis) looking all intense and ready to
punch faces in this production still from the latest installment in the
DIE HARD franchise, A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD.
But look -- Maxpedition snagged a role in the upcoming 20th Century Fox film as well!
McClane is very smartly using the #0652 Maxpedition® Sovereign™ Load-Out Duffel Bag. I'm going to assume it is the explicit reason he'll be able to save the day.
A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD arrives in theaters February 14, 2013.

Maxpedition TV's Newest Episode is Live
Hey folks, Dustin here.
We've been working hard this week to bring you our latest Maxpedition TV video -- and it's officially live on our YouTube Channel.
Ever wanted to know what the major differences were between the Maxpedition® Fatboy™ Versipack®, and the Fatboy G.T.G.™? We answer that, and put Rick in another silly hat all at the same time.
That's efficiency!
While on the subject of our videos, we're moving the first two over to the video section on our Maxpedition Facebook Fan Page. All of our videos will remain on YouTube, but we're simply consolidating them and future videos on Facebook as well for additional ease of access for all of our Fan Page...well, fans.
Remember, we do listen to your questions. If you have any inquiries related to Maxpedition Gear, send them our way. We plan on covering just about every conceivable topic, but who knows -- maybe you'll bring something completely new to our attention!
Leave your questions in the comments section under the YouTube videos, on Twitter, and our Facebook Fan Page.
That'll do it for today folks. Thanks for being awesome, per the usual.
Until next time, stay Tactical and Practical.

Evening folks, just some quick knowledge droppings (the only variety of droppings that aren't gross) to share with you before we head off into Thursday's sunset.
Yesterday we announced the release of the Maxpedition® Small Tactical Gear Retractor on the Maxpedition Website. It comes with all of the excellent features of our other gear retractors, in our most compact design.
We dig it, and we think you will too.
Have you ever wanted to know how to properly use your Maxpedition TacTie? We've got you covered, as we've just released our latest YouTube video on Maxpedition TV. We show you exactly how to modularize your gear using the TacTie.
You'll be adding all sorts of awesome accessories to your gear like a pro in no time!
Finally, we're stoked to say that we broke 6,000 LIKES on our Maxpedition Facebook Fan Page last night, which means we're well on course to hit 6,500 LIKES by May 28, 2012. If you don't know why this is big news, then you're just now finding out about the Maxpedition® "Likes for Loot" Contest & Giveaway.
I'll keep 'er simple -- go to our Facebook Fan Page, click the LIKE button once there if you've not done so already, and you're instantly eligible to win $200.00 in Maxpedition Gear. Once we've hit our goal by the deadline, we'll choose our winner, and move on to the next stage in "Likes for Loot".
Trust us, this contest is just now gathering a head of steam.
That'll do it for today. Feel absolutely free to leave me questions here, over on Facebook, on our Twitter page, and you can always submit your gear inquiries over at our Maxpedition TV account on YouTube.
We dig hearing from you folks, because hey -- you're kinda awesome, you know?
Stay Tactical and Practical,

Maxpedition Is Back -- On YouTube!
Hey folks, it’s blog time! We announced that Maxpedition had some great stuff in the works last week, and now we have something to show for our kinda secret efforts.
We get lots of questions about our gear here, and while
we’re happy to answer them on Facebook, Twitter, and by e-mail – we figured it
was high time we took it to the next level.
We’re officially re-launching our Maxpedition YouTube Page,
where we’ll be answering questions, showcasing gear, and helping you get to
know us that much better!
This is just another level of interaction we here at
Maxpedition Headquarters have wanted to develop with our excellent and loyal
customers -- and we’re glad to finally debut our first video here in this blog.

Cruisin' to 6,500 -- Maxpedition® "Likes for Loot" Contest & Giveaway Continues
Welcome back to the Maxpedition Blog! We’ve had a big couple
of weeks here at Maxpedition Headquarters. I introduced myself as the newest
member of the team (Hi, I’m still Dustin), we rolled out our Tactical Field Deck to an exceptional response, and we have been giving out one free each day
this week, plus 3” x 4” Pouch to one lucky winner each morning this week.
Of course, our biggest news of all has been the Maxpedition®“Likes for Loot” Contest & Giveaway that I announced this Monday. We
challenged our Maxpedition Customers to push our Facebook fan page “LIKES” to
5,000 by May 11, 2012. Clearly, we didn’t need that much time, because you got
us to our goal Wednesday morning! Everyone who Liked our fan page was entered
into a pool for a chance to win $200.00 worth of Maxpedition Gear. Our winner
was Tim Young, and we’re super excited for him. Check out his picks:
Congrats, Tim, and excellent choices! If you're interested, you too can snag the 1713G Tactical T-Ring, 0325F 10" x 4" Bottle Holder, and 0513F Falcon-II Backpack by clicking the blue links.

That’s right folks, everyone who has “LIKED” us on our Facebook Fan Page is already eligible to win.
If all the deadlines are met, we will have given away $1,000 worth of Maxpedition Gear and accessories -- but we have to get those Likes up.
If you haven’t
already Liked us, it’s as simple as heading to Facebook and a finding us here. Additionally, the more you SHARE not only the contest, but other great
Maxpedition promotional material and features with your friends, the faster
we’ll reach our next goal and be able to announce a new Winner! As seen above,
the more Likes we receive, the greater the number of people eligible to win
free gear. You guys crushed our last deadline, we have no doubt you’ll be able
to do it again!
It’s worth mentioning that the above is just a taste – our Maxpedition®
“Likes for Loot” Contest & Giveaway doesn’t end at 10,000 LIKES, and we’ll
be having additional giveaways and promotions randomly throughout the months,
so it always pays to hang out and participate on the Fan Page.
Finally, next week I’ll be posting a blog about the debut of
an exciting new Maxpedition feature we’ve wanted to roll out for a while now.
Stay tuned! Yes, we realize you can’t tune your computer (please don’t try…),
but you get what we mean.
Remember, the next goal is 6,500 LIKES on our Facebook Fan Page by May 28, 2012 (Memorial Day -- easy to remember) for our next $200.00 drawing.
Stay Tactical and Practical,
-Dustin

We Come Bearing Gifts...
You’ve waited, we’ve teased and hinted; now it’s time to announce the new item and additional accessory we've been talking up these last two and a half days. And hey -- read the whole thing, because we're announcing some juicy details for next week's major blog post regarding our long-term contests and prize giveaways. We aren't just talking accessories, Maxpedition Fans. You could say we're GEARing up for some good stuff.
See what I did there?
A project that’s been a year in the making, and a labor of love for our lead graphic designer Rick Betancourt – we present the Maxpedition Tactical Field Deck.
See what I did there?
A project that’s been a year in the making, and a labor of love for our lead graphic designer Rick Betancourt – we present the Maxpedition Tactical Field Deck.
This deck of playing cards was inspired by a trip to the ’11 SHOT Show, a massive trade show held in Las Vegas that features some of the best outdoor gear in the world (I mean, hey…we’re there), and was built from concept to finish by Rick alone. Every card has our unique Maxpedition flare, with the face cards getting special care. Each one uses our Maxpedition characters –Damo the Warthog, Max the Bunny, Rocky the Polar Bear, Lla the Chinchilla, and the Shell Squad. Rick designed his own unique font, card backs, and package design.
Here are some words from Rick on the deck he created:
"A lot of artists secretly want to design a deck of cards. There's a feeling of honor in re-creating something timeless and recognizable in your personal style; the world as been using playing cards since the fourteenth century! it was exciting to build something that adds to that legacy."
Rick on the work that went into the deck:
"I am very detailed and meticulous, so it was a complicated but fun side-project.The cards took a year to design from start to finish, because I wanted to make Maxpedition fans a deck that was totally original and looked cool. Also, we wanted to make a deck of cards that was really tough, like our gear."
TACTICAL FIELD DECK + POUCH KIT GIVEAWAY
* We're giving away five free decks to five lucky people who have Liked our Facebook Fan Page by midnight Sunday (4/22/2012 - 11:59PM).
*We will announce the winners next week. The five winners will also get a free 3" x 4" Belt Pouch to carry their Tactical Deck.
*The Maxpedition Tactical Field Deck is available live on the Maxpedition site right now. Click here to head over and purchase a pack for yourself!
Just like our excellent gear, the Maxpedition Tactical Field Deck was built with you specifically in mind – we’re not just calling them tactical, they are tactical. Many cards are waterproof, but our Tactical Deck is built from PVC, which means it's tough as nails, and you couldn't drown it if you wanted to.
We can’t promise they’ll survive lava flows, a direct meteor impact, or a tear in time/space, but we doubt you’ll be up for poker in those scenarios, unless maybe you’re this dude:
We can’t promise they’ll survive lava flows, a direct meteor impact, or a tear in time/space, but we doubt you’ll be up for poker in those scenarios, unless maybe you’re this dude:
"Straight flush! Read 'em and weep! Guys? Where did everybody go..."
CONTEST AND PRIZES, OH MY!
Now that we’ve whet your appetite with some great
free stuff, we have an even bigger announcement next week regarding
contests and giveaways related to our Maxpedition Gear.Yes, we are
talking gear, and not limiting ourselves to the small accessories. We're
going big, but it all depends on you. we're going to lay out all the
major details next week, but what you can do right now to qualify is
simple:
Piece o' cake, yes? We're all about making it easy to get your hands on some great schwag -- and remember, next week we'll be announcing all the details, so stay tuned!

We Tease, Because We Care...
Our new Maxpedition accessory is something fun, nontraditional, and what we believe is a perfect addition to any of our Maxpedition Gear.
That said, we're gonna make you squirm one day longer.
It's all with good reason, however. Don't consider it a bluff, but more like time-release awesomeness that's well worth waiting for. And hey...there's a giveaway in it for you. A combo pack, actually. Free stuff is always good times, right!?
We figured we'd give you good folks a little hint below to get those gears turning:

Maxpedition, Bloggin' from Texas to SoCal
Hey folks, welcome to the Maxpedition® Gear Blog! My name is Dustin, an adventurer in Los Angeles by way of West Texas, and the newest member of the Maxpedition Team. You can say I have that big city savvy with a healthy dose of little cotton town sensibility. Here is an extremely accurate visualization of my transition from Lubbockite to Angelino.
I've been to almost every continent, in virtually every environment (have yet to fall into a volcano, but I'm still young...), and have done my fair share of hunting, hiking, and hard traveling. In short -- I know my stuff, and I know the value that Maxpedition brings to its users.
As your blog host, it's my job to not only let you know just how amazingly awesome our Maxpedition Gear is, but to share the stories of you -- our customers. We want to know exactly why you can't live without your Mongo™ Versipack®, why you can't go a day without reconfiguring the accessory gear on your Kodiak Gearslinger, and how many reuben sandwiches you managed to stuff into the Doppelduffel Adventure Bag. If you dig our gear, and have a story to share -- I'd love to hear it. Often, I'll be sharing these stories with the rest of our readers. It's our way of getting to know you, and connecting you with fellow Maxpedition fans.
In addition to sharing your stories and feedback, we'll be telling you what new and exciting stuff is coming out of Maxpedition Headquarters; not simply new gear, but great deals, contests for Maxpedition schwag, and suggestions on great ways to use our tactical gear.
On that, I'd like to say a little about the term "tactical", and what it means to different people. Many associate the word "tactical" with the military, and it's fitting. Folks serving in the armed forces definitely need easy access, tough as nails, versatile equipment that embodies that word. This said, tactical is just as easily replaced with words like these:
Calculated
Precise
Planned
Smart
Sound like a rather inclusive series of words? That's because they are. Tactical gear is quite simply thoughtfully designed, exceptionally crafted, highly functional, and simple to use. Something that is very important to us is showing loyal fans and prospective customers alike, that our products are practical for everyone, in almost any environment.
Maxpedition Gear isn't just for backpackers, servicemen/women, survivalists, and hunters -- it's great for highly mobile parents that need to get their kids from point A to point B with an ever-growing list of stuff. You don't think the Lunada™ Gearslinger® would make a great diaper bag/juice carrier/mobile toy box? Take a closer look. Students -- don't want to haul your books around campus in a backpack that's going to wear out before graduation, not to mention the uncomfortable shoulder-to-shoulder shifting that comes from straps that aren't designed to handle the weight of four books and a laptop? We've got you more than covered with the Falcon II™ Backpack. Not only is it designed for maximum comfort -- but like all of our gear, built to last a lifetime. You'll prospectively be handing it down to your own kids, if they can pry it out of your fingers. We love our tech-heads too -- the Noatak™ Gearslinger® is eight inches high and four inches thick, perfect for your tablet, with a ton of pockets for USB drives, disks, and an anti-theft zipper to keep it all safe and secure.
I could go on, and I will -- in later blog posts. The point is, Maxpedition Gear has a wide range of uses, for an ever widening range of users. "Tactical" gear is practical gear -- it truly is for everyone.
That'll do it for me folks! Stay tuned for more blog posts in the very near future. I'll be talking about our great customers, our fantastic products, and I'm even going to give you a little insight into the stories behind our Maxpedition characters -- Max™, Rocky™, Damo™, Lla™, and the Shell Squad™. Seriously, you're going to want to bring popcorn to your computer screen. it's gonna be great.
Until next time, keep the stories coming -- and thanks for supporting us here at Maxpedition.
